For nearly a decade, Lacey has documented people and events with an intuitive eye for beauty and detail.

She never dreamed when she was a little girl flipping through wedding magazines and photographing her Barbie dolls with a film camera that one day she would have the honor of photographing real weddings and photo shoots of all kinds. When a friend suggested she turn her passion for photography into a career, she did just that.

Lacey delivers an aesthetic that is dreamy and timeless and editorial. She combines classic portraiture with fun, artistic imagery that capture the essence of people, places, and events. With her assortment of digital and film cameras (she adores the sense of nostalgia), she arrives at every photo event with enthusiasm and hard-earned expertise. For years, she’s worked cordially with vendors to ensure weddings unfold seamlessly and beautifully. Lacey seeks those special candid moments (one of her favorite things to photograph are snazzy guest outfits), but she also has mastered the art of quiet direction and is happy to help with posing. A posed picture of the couple with grandparents is a must, but Lacey also realizes the importance of snapping an impromptu hug or a happy tear rolling down one’s cheek. “I want people to treasure the photos I take of them and their loved ones,” Lacey says. “At sessions and weddings, I’m on their time. It’s not about me or what I want. It’s about my photography subjects and taking gorgeous pictures I’m confident they will love.”

When she’s not out photographing or at home editing, candle burning with an audiobook playing, Lacey enjoys spending time with family and friends, travel, shopping, and drinking too many Diet Dr Peppers.

Lacey’s work has been published by Kentucky Bride and Kentucky Living.

“To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
